SYDNEY (AP) — Chloe Esposito will follow in her father's footsteps when she competes for Australia in the modern pentathlon at the Olympics.

The 20-year-old Esposito, who was included Wednesday in the team for London along with 24-year-old Ed Fernon, follows her father Daniel who competed in the modern pentathlon at the 1984 Los Angeles Games. She finished eighth at the recent World Cup in China and is considered a medal prospect.

Esposito says, "I have seen all (her father's) old photos and he still has his Olympic riding jacket and that makes this even more special."

The modern pentathlon, an Olympic sport since 1912, incorporates horse riding, cross-country running, swimming, pistol shooting and fencing.
