PARIS (AP) — American sprinters Tyson Gay and Justin Gatlin will compete at the French stage of the Diamond League meeting July 6.

Organizers say world-record holder Usain Bolt will miss the Areva meet.

Gay returned to competition last week after a hip surgery last July, running the 100 meters in 10.0 seconds at the Adidas Grand Prix. He will race in the U.S. Olympic trials this month.

To make the U.S. squad for the London Games he has to finish in the top three at trials. Four Americans, including Gatlin, who is a former Olympic gold medalist, have already broken the 10-second barrier this season.

Bolt returned to Jamaica for national trials after beating Asafa Powell by 0.06 seconds in the Oslo meet last week.

World's fastest man plans to return to Europe for a 200 race in Monaco July 20, his last race before the London Olympics that start a week later.
