WELLINGTON, New Zealand (AP) — New Zealand has selected its most experienced men's field hockey team ever for the London Olympics, including four players who will be competing at their third games and nine who will be making their second Olympic appearances.

Captain Dean Couzins, striker Phil Burrows and midfielder Ryan Archibald have all played more than 250 matches for New Zealand and another, defender Blair Hopping, has played 249. Two other players in the 16-man squad have more than 150 caps each and five more have played more than 100 matches for New Zealand.

Couzins, Burrows, Hopping and goalkeeper Kyle Pontifex will be attending their third Olympics and Archibald is among those competing at his second after missing the 2004 Athens Games because of injury.
