LONDON (AP) — Norway retained its Olympic title in women's handball Saturday by beating Montenegro 26-23.
Norway never trailed after taking its first lead midway through the first half.
For Montenegro, it was the country's first Olympic medal as an independent nation. The country failed to win a medal at the 2008 Beijing Games or the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics.
In the bronze medal match, Spain beat South Korea 31-29 in overtime.
