MELBOURNE, Australia (AP) — An Australian rower dropped from the national team because of "incompatibility" with teammates has been added to Australia's Olympic team as a non-traveling reserve after appealing her non-selection. Pippa Savage, 31, was a member of Australia's women's quad scull but was sent home from an Olympic warmup meet in Europe last week after what rowing officials called "incompatibility issues." She appealed her removal team and, in discussions with Rowing Australia which stretched over two days, was named on Friday as the team's non-traveling reserve. Savage said "I'm pleased with the outcome. My goal to get to a second Olympic Games is still a possibility." She will continue to train and could compete in London if any current team member withdraws.
