Hope Solo is drawing most of the attention for calling the Swedes cowards after the American women’s soccer team was upset by Sweden on Friday.

Solo sent a tweet out hours after making the comments. While she didn't apologize, she did appear to acknowledge that she went too far.

Solo's teammates, meanwhile, took a decidedly more professional tone. The 34-year-old Carli Lloyd, one of the team's leaders, made it clear she is planning on coming back for the Tokyo Games in 2020 for a chance at redemption.

Alex Morgan, who scored the lone goal in regulation for the Americans in the loss, struck a similar tone.

Former standout Julie Foudy said the loss would stick with the Americans for quite some time.
