Phelps to Lochte before scrape: 'Keep your head on straight'

CHASKA, Minn. (AP) — Add Michael Phelps' name to the list of Americans who were less than amused by teammate Ryan Lochte's post-competition, early morning drunken antics at the Rio Olympics.

"I did have a talk with him about two days before about not doing anything bad," said Phelps, who retired after the Summer Games as the most-decorated Olympian of all time. "I told him, 'Just keep your head on straight. Have fun.'"

Apparently, the warning didn't take.

Olympic triple jump medalist Devetzi banned for doping

MOSCOW (AP) — Greek triple jumper Hrysopiyi Devetzi is set to lose her bronze medal from the 2008 Olympics after failing a drug test.

The IAAF says a sample Devetzi gave at the 2007 world championships tested positive in retesting for the banned steroid stanozolol and she will be retrospectively disqualified for two years from August 2007.

(AP) — The U.S. Olympic Committee and the sports it oversees are behind the curve when it comes to placing women and minorities in key coaching and leadership positions, according to a set of "scorecards" the federation has released that chart progress over the past three years.
