Praise for Danny Boyle's ultra-ambitious London Olympics opening ceremony keeps rolling in, with some fans on Twitter suggesting that the Oscar-winning director of "Slumdog Millionaire" should run for prime minister.

One honor seems an increasingly sure bet: a knighthood from Queen Elizabeth II in her New Year's honors list. British betting house William Hill initially listed the odds on Boyle's knighthood at 4 to 1, but has since shortened them to dead even.

Still, the 55-year-old says he intends to stay true to his working-class, leftie persona. When asked if he'd ever be Sir Danny, he laughed "I don't think so."
