An Olympic official from the African nation of Cameroon says seven Olympic competitors are missing from the athletes' village. David Ojong, head of mission for Team Cameroon, says the seven all currently hold visas that would allow them to remain in Britain until at least November. He says five boxers, a swimmer and a football player have disappeared from the village, at the Olympic Park in Stratford, in east London. It's not immediately clear how long they've been unaccounted for — or precisely what Ojong means by "missing." Britain's Home Office, responsible for immigration, says it can't comment on whether any of the seven had applied for asylum. — David Stringer - Twitter http://twitter.com/david_stringer ___ EDITOR'S NOTE — "Eyes on London" shows you the Olympics through the eyes of Associated Press journalists across the 2012 Olympic city and around the world.
