LONDON (AP) — Canadian trampolinist Rosannagh MacLennan captured the women's Olympic title on Saturday, securing the gold medal after a late miscue by defending Olympic champion He Wenna of China. The 23-year-old MacLennan posted a score of 57.305, good enough to edge silver medalist Huang Shanshan of China and more than a point ahead of Wenna. Wenna easily topped qualifying but stumbled during warm-ups before the finals. She recovered and was about to finish off a clean routine when she slipped after trying to land her last trick. Karen Cockburn of Canada just missed out in her bid to secure a fourth Olympic medal, finishing fourth. Savannah Vinsant became the first American to advance to the Olympic finals since the sport was introduced at the 2000 Games in Sydney. The 19-year-old Vinsant, the youngest competitor in the 16-woman field, came in sixth.
