Ashton Eaton is strong and fast. To Steven Holcomb, that sounds like bobsled material.

Eaton won the Olympic decathlon gold medal for the United States — no surprise, since he is the world-record holder in the event as well — at the London Games.

And track athletes have a long history of making great bobsledders.

So on Saturday, Holcomb — the top U.S. bobsled pilot and an Olympic gold medalist himself — decided to do a little recruiting.

"Rumor has it (at)AshtonJEaton is looking for a winter sport. I think I can help...," Holcomb wrote on Twitter.

No word yet from the Eaton camp if he's ready to accept the invitation.
