LONDON (AP) — The United States recovered from a slow start to edge Romania 10-8 in men's water polo at the London Olympics. Trailing 5-3 halfway through the second quarter, the Americans cranked up the defense and shut down Romania while scoring four unanswered goals of their own — two of them from veteran Ryan Bailey — to take control of the match. Bailey and Peter Varellas led the Americans with three goals apiece. The U.S., which is looking for its first water polo gold since 1904, joins Serbia atop Group B with Tuesday's win.
