HOUSTON (AP) — Mantas Kalnietis scored 18 points, leading Lithuania to a 90-80 win over Britain in an international friendly Friday night.

Kalnietis was 5 of 6 from the field, including 4 for 4 from behind the arc. Sarunas Jasikevicius added 16 points for Lithuania. Robertas Javtokas and Jonas Maciulis each had nine.

Lithuania shot 47.9 percent as a team, including 55.2 percent in the second half.

Kyle Johnson led Britain with 18 points and six rebounds off the bench. Pops Mensah-Bonsu added 16 points, Joel Freeland chipped in 14 points and seven rebounds and Nate Reinking had 12 points for Britain.

After trailing by as many as eight midway through the fourth quarter, Britain cut the lead to 78-75 with 4:36 left on Mensah-Bonsu's two free throws. After trading baskets, Britain cut the lead to 80-79 on Freeland's floater with 3:19 left.

Lithuania answered with a driving lay-up by Paulius Jankunas the next time down the floor, and Britain missed shots on each of its next three possessions before Maciulis hit a 3-pointer to put Lithuania up 85-79 with 1:15 remaining.

After trailing by as many as 14 in the second quarter, Lithuania cut Britain's lead to 44-37 at the half and outscored Britain 31-19 in the third quarter to take a 68-63 lead into the fourth period.

Britain is heading to France for an exhibition game before returning to Britain to play the United States in a warm-up for the Olympics. Lithuania heads to Venezuela to compete in the FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament July 2-8 to try to qualify for the Olympics.
