There was lots of concern about Allyson Felix and her sore right ankle going into the Olympic Trials.

She put any worries to rest in the 400 meters, winning in 49.68 seconds and earning a spot on the team bound for Rio.

Felix became just the second American woman to qualify for an Olympics in the 100, 200 and 400 meters.

Felix is a six-time medalist, but she's never run in the 400 meters in an Olympics.

And she's not done in Eugene. S

he'll try to double up in the 200 meters in Rio. She is the defending Olympic champion in the event.

The Trials' 200-meter final is next weekend, so Felix has some time to rest up the ankle that she hurt in training two months ago.
