We briefly interrupt the Rio Games to announce that the 2018 Winter Olympics are now less than a year and a half away.

And in Lake Placid, New York _ the two-time Olympic village and the home of bobsled, skeleton and luge operations in the U.S. _ they got a reminder of what's coming Saturday morning.

Olympic bobsledder Nick Cunningham sounded the alarm on his Facebook page, when he posted a photo of a tree in Lake Placid that already had some leaves starting to change.

No, fall isn't here yet _ but it's close.

"Hey Bobsled, skeleton, and luge athletes... Ready for an anxiety attack?" Cunningham wrote. "The leaves are starting to change! Season is fast approaching!!
