On August 4, 2011, the fatal police shooting of 29-year-old Mark Duggan in the London district of Tottenham sparked four days of riots across the host city for the 2012 Olympic Games. Some of today's Olympic events are taking place just a few miles (kilometers) away from areas hit by Britain's worst riots in a generation. Duggan's death, under disputed circumstances, triggered initial anger, then brick throwing, car burning and looting. An interim report says between 13,000 and 15,000 people took part and that three-quarters of them were aged 24 or younger. — Fergus Bell — Twitter http://twitter.com/fergb ___ EDITOR'S NOTE — "Eyes on London" shows you the Olympics through the eyes of Associated Press journalists across the 2012 Olympic city and around the world.
