Bounding off the Javelin train at Olympic Park, two towheads were almost beside themselves with excitement about the day ahead. They ran for the escalators, and it was all their father could do to keep up.

"Stay calm," he told them. "Get in a nice queue."

Good advice for a day. A lesson learned for a lifetime. It's the proper British way.
