LAUSANNE, Switzerland (AP) — The International Olympic Committee's headquarters are closed after flooding caused by a burst water main.
Water reached the ground floor and basement level of the IOC offices after the water main burst Sunday near the building in the lakeside Vidy area of Lausanne.
IOC staff were working Monday from home and temporary offices in another part of Lausanne.
The extent of damage wasn't immediately clear. The IOC's archives are stored on the basement level, which was under three feet of water. Meeting rooms and kitchens were also affected.
IOC President Jacques Rogge was in Paris on Monday speaking at an anti-doping symposium.
