Simone Biles couldn't wait to talk to the two most important people in her life after winning gold in the women's gymnastics all-around competition at the Rio Games on Thursday.
Unfortunately too many others got to her parents Ron and Nellie Biles first.
"I tried, but people started taking pictures with my family so I didn't really get to see them," she said.
Biles said it was difficult not to get to talk to them after her win, but was thrilled they were there for her on her big day just like they've always been.
"It means the world to me just because they're the ones that brought me up and I wouldn't be here without them," she said. "And their support is just that extra motivation to do better and I just can't thank them enough."
Thursday’s gold medal was her second in Rio. She’ll go for three more in individual events before the Games end.
