It sounds like a bad joke: Come to the Summer Olympics, catch a bad cold.
But that's what happened to 2012 Olympic women's pole vault champion Jenn Suhr of the United States. And she looked far from usual self in the Olympic finals on Friday night.
Suhr failed to clear 4.70 meters, and with that her Olympic reign came to an end.
Well, illness did in Jenn Suhr and she misses her 3rd attempt at 4.70. Unfortunately the world's best won't medal this year. #USA

Suhr has been dealing with an upper-respiratory issue for several days, the worst possible timing.
The silver medalist in Beijing and the gold winner in London was the only woman in Friday's field to have cleared 5 meters this season, and was bidding to become the second three-time medalist in Olympic women's pole vault history.
