Usain Bolt walked out of his news conference after gold medal No. 9 early Saturday morning, and then went back onto the track at Olympic Stadium.
The reason: To throw the javelin around.
With the stadium dark and with only some volunteers and other workers milling about, Bolt _ for whatever reason _ decided he needed to test his arm.
His last throw went about 56 meters, which would have been good for sixth place at this year's Jamaican national championships.
Bolt posed for some photos afterward, and then was gone. He says these are his last Olympics, now with nothing to prove after a triple-triple _ three golds in each of the last three Olympics, sweeping wins in the 100- and 200-meter dashes and the 4x100-meter relays.
