Team USA coach Mike Krzyzewski shook things up for the semifinal showdown with Spain, inserting DeAndre Jordan into the starting lineup for a second straight game.
DeMarcus Cousins had been Coach K's center of choice in the starting lineup earlier in Rio, but Krzyzewski elected to go with the more defensive-minded Jordan against Spanish star Pau Gasol. It worked in the quarterfinals with an easy victory over Argentina, and Jordan made his presence felt early on Friday with an emphatic swat of Rudy Fernandez.
Cousins was the first big man off the bench for USA. His presence gives the second unit a little more balance with some scoring punch alongside stoppers Paul George and Jimmy Butler.
