For years, wrestling uniforms were either red or blue so the officials could differentiate between the athletes.
The problem was that many fans couldn't tell which wrestler was from which country _ and most of those singlets were boring at best.
But wrestling has undergone an overhaul in recent years, and that includes the uniforms. For the first time at the Olympics, nations were allowed to design and wear singlets featuring the colors of their flag.
Those new threads made their debut Sunday at the Rio Olympics.
