His Rio Games over, Nate Ebner went back to his day job Tuesday.

The U.S. rugby Olympian returned to the practice field with the New England Patriots. He had a baseball cap on instead of a helmet, and was conditioning instead of practicing _ as would be expected as he transitions back to football mode.
The U.S. finished ninth in rugby in Rio, going 3-2 overall.
Ebner, a safety for the Patriots, scored twice the games _ including once in a 24-19 loss to eventual gold medalist Fiji.
Ebner played on the Olympic team with the Patriots' blessing, even though it interfered with the first couple weeks of New England's training camp. Patriots coach Bill Belichick and other members of the team's staff wore t-shirts in Ebner's honor to practice last week, on the day when the Americans played their opening matches in Rio.
