The University of Oregon is taking advantage of the Olympic Trials on campus.
The Ducks are hosting "Run With A Researcher" community runs each morning -- mixing athletics with academics.
The runs are open to anyone and vary in length, from a quick jog around campus to a jaunt up Pre's trail.
Some of the researchers leading runs include Bill Cresko, who studies the evolutionary biology of the stieckleback fish and started running because he's a big fan of Steve Prefontaine. Fellow reseracher and runner Kate Meehan is an expert on issues related to water policy, urban infrastructure and climate change adaption.
