Usain Bolt's time of 20.28 seconds was only good enough to tie for 15th out of 77 starters in 200-meter qualifying.
'So much for being The World's Fastest Man, right? Hardly.
The time Tuesday didn't matter: He just needed to be one of the two fastest in his heat to automatically move on to Wednesday's semifinals (the final is Thursday). So he jogged through the final 50 meters or so, glancing to his right three times just to make sure his closest pursuer was really not that close at all.

As Bolt himself so succinctly put it when a reporter asked whether he can break his 200 world record of 19.19 running the way he did Tuesday in his gold spikes: "It's the heats, bro."
