If anyone on the U.S. track team shouldn't have to worry about securing spots in Rio, Allyson Felix, Justin Gatlin and Ashton Eaton would be the ones.
Between them, they have 11 Olympic medals.
But the rules at Olympic Trials don't give them any special treatment.
It's simple: The top three finishers in each event make it, assuming they have met the Olympic qualifying standard.

Says Felix: ``You definitely look at those other countries where you don't have to face this hurdle and you're wishing that could be your situation. But it's part of it. It's this challenge, this roadblock you have to get through.''
